HYPERCINEMA
IDEATION & STORYBOARD
Josh Zeng, Michelle Wu and I are in the same team for this project. We decided at the start that we wanted to make something cat related. We are interested in the idea of the cat making something in an assembly line format, like wrapping a gift or cooking.
We liked the idea of the cats cooking and thought dumplings is a good dish that is made through different steps that could be arranged into an assembly line.

ASSETS & ANIMATION
ASSETS
All of the assets are separate components so we could animate them in AE. Different body parts such as eyes, tail and paws all need to me on separate layers as well.

ANIMATION & SETUP TEST
First portion of the animation setup in AE.
SOUND
Music composed by Josh elevates the lighthearted feel.
AR
All animation was imported into Aero, which is also where we set up all of the AR interaction.
We built the store in Aero by pulling in the walls, roof, and countertop and rotating them. Then dropped in the cats and dumplings to complete the set. The behaviors of our AR project were simple, as we just wanted the animation to play on a loop without any triggers.
